A six volume set in paperback "Narratives of America" is a narrative history of the opening of Kentucky and the great northwest during the period of 1755-1836, through the events of the French & Indian War, the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. These are 6 of the best books I have ever read and I recommend them to everyone. They are great!
